i tried to fit one, too stiff! ...and how the hell i am gonna shift gears :x ...it's even hard to walk :S

guess so, I've been riding with mine for about a week now. At first it's too stiff so I tried taking it for a walk at a mall or somewhere 'till it soften up a bit. It feels a whole lot better now and I now wear this thing almost everyday, even at work :cheers:

Just keep using it, that's how I got used to mine.

btw, i am referring to motocross boots, is that the same thing with you Elijah?

mabigat, matigas sa loob, mainit sa paa....pero masasanay ka rin...ilang trail lang yan...nun bago pa lang ako nagboots (motox) kala ko bakit parang pigil ang takbo...yun pala naka tungtong yung paa ko sa brake ng hindi ko namamalayan...parktis mo nga ilakad-lakad ...lalambot din yan sa paa...it's for your own safety din e...

Ha! Ha! Those MX boots are a pain, but they are worth it... providing the best protection for your feet. A couple of years ago, I met this guy on a ride to Monterey to watch the races. He is riding a sports bike but prefers to wear MX boots.

All of them will break-in comfortably given the amount of time and use. Some boots will break-in easier than others so try out different ones and read up on comparisons done by magazines. A few months ago, I bought the new version of the AlpineStar Tech 6 and it broke in within an hour versus my original pair of Oneals. The latter still makes me walk like Frankestein. :O

try walking upstairs with your boots on...hehehe...makes a good exercise... sabi nila malambot daw sa paa yung alpinestar...yung sakin naman ay thor...nung bago..di ko maibend yung paa ko...ex. kung uupo ka or uphill climb...hehehe PARUSA!!! pero sa katagalan nga, na "break-in" na rin...ni hindi mo mararamdaman yung bato na tatama sa paa mo kahit tumatakbo ang motor at importante yung shin...kahit mahampas ng kahoy...
nga pala...a friend told me...pag di nagagamit ang boots...meaning hindi naiisuot...madaling nasisira...nagagato yung mga plastics and rubber...sakin nga nilalagyan ko pa ng uling sa loob para mawala ang pawis/amoy...hehehe...tsaka sabi ok dn daw armor all protectant...

It's the Polo Impact boots, I dunno if it's suitable for motocross ... it's stiff when new. I kinda felt like Robocop when I started to walk :banana: :D

Ganun talaga pag mx boots medyo matigas dahil kasama sa protection yun,saka pag nag shift sa motocross hindi sa ankle joint manggagaling dapat halos buong paa ang tataas. Well I just got me a proper riding boots for use in trail riding recently... I used it right away the day I bought it...

It took me about two visits to the mountains for the proper "break-in" period and afterwards, it's all good...! :C One of the best investment I ever made...

bro, did you try to weigh your mx boots...average of 3 kilos/pair....so dont expect confort walking with it....but its definitely worth it...once youre used to it...like helmet your not connfortable riding without it....

SIDI is by far the best off-road boots IMHO there are few places where you can get last years model for a cheaper price. I got my discovery for $190 and Raptor for $175 .. If ya all have relatives in the U.S side have them get it for you or somthing like that. The protection these boots offer for your body parts is well worth the $ or pessos .. ATV addiction is the name of the place. tele # is 717-477-9321 .. i mean there are other more inexpensive boots out there but just break them in by walking with it the whole day or something.. The point is you really need this gear for protection broskies !

i think this will help, what we do is soak it with water the night b4 you use it, but don't do the whole boot, just the half lower part up to the boot sleeve, so water will not go in the boots

Not really. Alpine Stars is the most expensive. Tech 10 are $ 430. The Tech 8 and 6 should be omming down in prices since the release of Tech 10.

Right! "FLY" is a very popular gear here. David Villuimin of Factory Yamaha is using them. I can get a FLY boots or Thor for the same cost $120 to $130 and I will take care of the shipping if I can send about 10 of them.

I feel your pain when it comes to these stiff boots.
I never rode my trail bike/ATV without those MX boots but for my last 2 rides I just wore some type of earth shoe, yung pang hiking. Wow, mas madali mag shift!
I think those MX boots protect you on those close circuit MX racing - nag gigitgitan kayo at pag wala kang MX boots, lapnos ang binti mo pero kung trail riding lang sa tingin ko ok na yung hiking boots.
Hirap kasi sa MX boots once you're off the bike (ie sumemplang) ang hirap lumakad!
Example I was climbing this hill at chemplang ako - ang hirap tumayo sa tirik ng bundok wearing those MX boots. Dapa tuloy ako.

In regards to boot preference, I the Fox boots but I think Alpinestars is overrated. Napakamahal pa! Sidi I think is the most comfortable.

bro, do yourself and your shins a favor. get the real deal for doc martens will do nothing to protect your skin and bones when you get into WOOOAH ! moment.. If you want comfort try the SIDI discovery or the more off road type boots, not MX bood for they can be stiff. Just my 2 centavos bro..

Not so sure if your in the PI or not but if your in the US try moto nation.. the Setup Akira boots are $50 cheaper and look supernice looks comfy too.. good luck bro..

just to give you an idea of what's out there. the FOX off road seems comfy not full on MX and friggin' inexpensive too.. I'll be giving the Alpinestars tech6 a try next time I have worn nothing but SIDI boots but the 05 SIDI supermoto boots are WAY too stiff being it's a super cross based boot..
just remember rule number one : wear the right gear
rule 2: make sure you have fuel before you ride :)
