RAIDER BECAUSE..
1. its cheaper than sonic 125
2. bigger displacement in lower price
3. mas mura ang maintenance
4. 6 speed compare to 5speed
5. bago pa lalabas ang sonic marami ng piyesa ang raider na mabibili.
6. 4 valve compare to 2valve
un lng..

Small Details From Wikipedia:

The Honda Sonic is a 125 cc motorbike designed for South East Asian market by Honda. It is the sister motorbike of the European 13.5 hp CBR 125. The motorbike belongs to the RS Nova motorbike family. The Sonic is one of the most popular motorbikes in Thailand. Its only rival is the Suzuki Raider 150, that never truly made it onto the market. The sonic is a bridge motorbike between the Honda Wave and the CBR 150. It has similarities to both motorbikes, but more closely resemble the CBR 150. The Sonic, unlike the Wave is a performance motorbike, and is not designed for an average commuter.

Engine
The Honda Sonic is fitted with the European CBR 125 4 stroke engine. It was adapted to liquid cooling because of hot weather. The engine is a sports low cc motor, with high revolution capabilities. With only 125 cc, it outputs a good 13.5 hp (10 kW). The engine is capable of up to 10,500 revolutions per minute (rpm).

Manufacture
The motorbike is manufactured in Thailand by Honda Motors. Then it is exported to the rest of South East Asia. The motorbike is manufactured in massive amounts.

Price
The price in Thailand is 50,000-55,000 baht (approximately USD 1,250) depending if electric start is included. After export the price goes up to USD2000.

Models
The Honda Sonic comes in two models. One with mag wheels (RS Super), and one with normal wheels (RS). Both of these versions come with a mandatory kick start. The customer may choose to include electric start.

Generations
There have been three generations of Sonics. Other than being visually modified, there are little differences. The second generation received an update to the liquid cooling, while the 3rd generation received a new free flow exhaust. Parts can be changed from all 3 generation, despite being older or newer.

Criticism

Gear box can drop from 2-N if shaken hard enough.

Cannot cruise

The small petrol tank means you cannot do long journeys, you have to keep
an eye on the petrol.

Suspension is designed for two persons and it is not adjustable to lower weight.

Benefits

Perfect size for city

Fast because of light weight

Very nimble motorbike.

Very low gas consumption, even at high revolutions.

Super Exotic Po Ito sa Pilipinas Bihira Meron???
Yun yung pinakabenefits niya...mapapahinto ang lahat pag dumadaan ka

Additional Info:

quote ko lang. what do you mean by oil cooled sa raider and water cooled sa sonic po?

therefore, mas ok ang watercooled..

kaso twin cam ang raider tsaka 6 speed..moreover the price and availability or parts puts the raider on its throne..

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Suzuki Raider 150 is one of the fastest motorcycles in the underbone category. The displacement is 150 cc, using the same DOHC four-valve 150 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine which also powers its sports bike twin, the Suzuki FXR150. Its popularity in South East Asia, mainly in Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines, is due to the price of this bike—around US$1850 (90,000 to 92,001 pesos or around 16,500,001 rupiah in Indonesia). The main features are full-length front shock, rear monoshock suspension, six-speed short gear ratio transmission, dual camshaft, lightweight chassis construction, alloy cast wheel, large-diameter front disc brake, and a rear disc brake, which is rarely found in the underbone criteria.

First generation (2002–2007)

After Suzuki Raider 125 launched Thailand 2000, as the same engine and technical date of FX125 in Malaysia. The first generation Suzuki Raider 150 was assembled in Thailand ( 2002 - 2007). This seem to be better technical date specification than Suzuki FXR 150 refer to the shord product from Indonesia. The changed into lesser 3mm from original 29mm size of airflow contribute more fuel injection to chamber in order to upgraded combustion speed. Gain alot of success in Thailand. This have no doub about the DOHC to help reduce shortest time per 4 strokes, with all most important part must be imported from Japan ( camshaft, valve, piston & rings). The 3rd countries almost pay techical to the rest part for this model

The Raider was launched on May 6, 2004 in the Philippines. Right after two year launched in Thailand

Second generation (2006–present)

The second generation Suzuki Raider R150 was released in November 2006, with three available colors and with crowling flerings and an electric starter.

In the Philippines

The Philippine version has three colorways: red, blue and black. It had also a "Raider J" variant. Its design was also copied by some motorcycle manufacturers and marketed as the "Dagger". This underbone is better than the Honda Sonic and the XRM
