View Full Version : ORIG DOT SNELL helmet pano malalaman dami kc fake ssciwarr April 30th, 2009, 08:14 AM pano malalaman orig ARAI,AGV,SHOEI helmet mo? NSCB April 30th, 2009, 10:28 AM go to the authorized dealers... but for these Helmets (Arai, Shoei, AGV) madaling malaman ang fake from the original...sa craftmanship and quality pa lang...pulido....not to mention the price. m0noshock April 30th, 2009, 10:31 AM yung Php2,000 na shoie..local po ba yun? NSCB April 30th, 2009, 11:14 AM P2k worth na Shoei? its out of the question? siguradong fake yan....if not...2nd hand surplus... Wills_McLaren April 30th, 2009, 11:17 AM yung Php2,000 na shoie..local po ba yun? lens palang sir ng shoei nasa 3,500 na ang price. NSCB April 30th, 2009, 11:42 AM and that's just a clear faceshield...i suppose... i had the chance to buy a Shoei GRV - lawson Replica at Kart Plaza way back in '92...it was even on Sale because the '93 models were arriving...it cost me almost 10K during that time.... ethan_hunt2236 April 30th, 2009, 11:51 AM to TS: for you to make sure that the helmet that you're going to purchased is a DOT/SNELL certified.. look for a SNELL sticker inside the helmet usually it is a brown sticker with the serial number on it.. and I agree with the other guys said.. go for authorized dealers.. HTH songoku777 April 30th, 2009, 12:10 PM Question lang po sa mga may experience with good helmets. As i have to confess in my 28 years of riding experience (helmets were not that much of a consideration back then compared to now, and im ashamed to admit i even used to ride the expressways with my cheap helmet just hanging on my arm).. so im a total noob when it comes to a good buy (and investment) helmet. Maybe i drive too slow thats why im still alive but i know i dont need a hit on the head to make me realize its about time i need a 'good' helmet .. just a 'long time' :o Suggestions for a helmet pls :) What i need... SNELL / DOT & other approved Small size Brand new Basic Flat Black color Clear lens Flip up type Lens readily available spares Light weight Most reasonable price Thank you in advance for your suggestions :) Wills_McLaren April 30th, 2009, 12:13 PM Question lang po sa mga may experience with good helmets. Ganun?!! ..er, i mean a flip up.. one that looks like a full face and becomes a modular (is that how they call it) type when you flip it up. I used to see a shoei Syncrotec (is that how you spell it).. for 18k  ..im sure a Shoei should pass all approvals. Again, sorry im totally ignorant about helmets :o TIA!!! ethan_hunt2236 April 30th, 2009, 12:24 PM Ganun?!! ..er, i mean a flip up.. one that looks like a full face and becomes a modular (is that how they call it) type when you flip it up. NSCB April 30th, 2009, 12:33 PM @songoku777 there are a lot of Modular (flip-up) helmets that meets your requirement...thought they may not be Snell Certified, yet they are DOT or ECE certified... try to check HJC or KBC helmets...they won't cost as much as Shoei helmets... Zeus Helmets also have modular helmets which are ECE certified, yet won't cost as much as those mentioned above... HTH malufeet April 30th, 2009, 01:46 PM alam ko sir walang Modular helmet na SNELL approved. sir meron po.. yung Zeus ZS-3000 Wills_McLaren April 30th, 2009, 03:00 PM sir meron po.. yung Zeus ZS-3000 ayun meron pala at siguradong mas mura yan. arki g-max 200 April 30th, 2009, 03:00 PM http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv283/alvin_delmundo/2008-Bell-Sprint-Leviathan-Helmet.jpg http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv283/alvin_delmundo/KBChelmetsVR-2R.jpg http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv283/alvin_delmundo/nxtlidHJC.jpg http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv283/alvin_delmundo/reargothic.jpg buy branded LIDs for ur safety... snell and dot approved lids has a better protection than helmets u can buy in quiapo, raon, or pier (fakes),..... tested and branded lids doesnt mean ur invunerable to spills and accidents pero u have a better chance.... (disclaimer) u can know if its legit if its original (genuine)... lids that cost a lot, when sold to you in a questionable price pls be reluctant... Pero maraming salamat sa inyo mga ginoo. Im truly proud to belong with MCP with folks like you. Salamat din sa ibang nag comment. This helmet is really a complicated science for me. Ok para di tayo masyadong mahirapan.. aside from those qualities i mentioned.. ano po kaya yun helmet na walang dahilan ang mga opportunistang law enforcer na hulihin tayo? In other words, i realize its about time for me to 'INVEST' in a good helmet. But the last thing id want is buying a helmet that does not comply with safety regulations i can get apprehended for.. sayang naman ang pera :( Btw sorry i thought DOT, NELL, etc means the same /or/ pertains to the quality that passes safety standards based on the helmet's design, material used, coatings, UV lens.. etc :? malufeet April 30th, 2009, 03:31 PM ayun meron pala at siguradong mas mura yan. 6k+ po dual visor pa yan... ang lufet!:banana::banana: elmo37 April 30th, 2009, 03:35 PM kung sa quiapo at pier ka bumili 100% peke yun. buy from a reputable dealer like triumph, motoworld etc. dun makakasiguro ka na orig ang helmet mo.
