pano malalaman orig ARAI,AGV,SHOEI helmet mo?

ang orig na SNELL me serial no sa loob ng helmet yung ARAI at SHOEI. ang AGV ay DOT/BSA ang certification yung mga bagong models.

visible naman masyado ang mga fake helmet.

go to the authorized dealers...

but for these Helmets (Arai, Shoei, AGV) madaling malaman ang fake from the original...sa craftmanship and quality pa lang...pulido....not to mention the price.

i had the chance to buy a Shoei GRV - lawson Replica at Kart Plaza way back in '92...it was even on Sale because the '93 models were arriving...it cost me almost 10K during that time....

for you to make sure that the helmet that you're going to purchased is a DOT/SNELL certified.. look for a SNELL sticker inside the helmet usually it is a brown sticker with the serial number on it.. and I agree with the other guys said.. go for authorized dealers.. HTH

Question lang po sa mga may experience with good helmets. As i have to confess in my 28 years of riding experience (helmets were not that much of a consideration back then compared to now, and im ashamed to admit i even used to ride the expressways with my cheap helmet just hanging on my arm).. so im a total noob when it comes to a good buy (and investment) helmet. Maybe i drive too slow thats why im still alive but i know i dont need a hit on the head to make me realize its about time i need a 'good' helmet .. just a 'long time' :o

Ganun?!! ..er, i mean a flip up.. one that looks like a full face and becomes a modular (is that how they call it) type when you flip it up. I used to see a shoei Syncrotec (is that how you spell it).. for 18k :eek: ..im sure a Shoei should pass all approvals. Again, sorry im totally ignorant about helmets :o

even the shoei synchrotec is not SNELL certified sir but it has DOT. They only approved a full face helmet sir.

there are a lot of Modular (flip-up) helmets that meets your requirement...thought they may not be Snell Certified, yet they are DOT or ECE certified...

try to check HJC or KBC helmets...they won't cost as much as Shoei helmets...

Zeus Helmets also have modular helmets which are ECE certified, yet won't cost as much as those mentioned above...

buy branded LIDs for ur safety... snell and dot approved lids has a better protection than
helmets u can buy in quiapo, raon, or pier (fakes),..... tested and branded lids doesnt mean ur invunerable to spills and accidents pero u have a better chance.... (disclaimer)

u can know if its legit if its original (genuine)... lids that cost a lot, when sold to you in a questionable price pls be reluctant... (unless nakaw, karma naman)

In other words, i realize its about time for me to 'INVEST' in a good helmet. But the last thing id want is buying a helmet that does not comply with safety regulations i can get apprehended for.. sayang naman ang pera :(

As of the moment, the LTO had not come up yet with what specific standards will be applied in the country....but you can't go wrong with a DOT or SNELL or ECE certified helmets....helmets that pass these standards are well accepted around the globe.

sir AFAIK ung helmet law meron na c/o sen bong revilla...
as per sa guidelines nun req't na ang helmet...
tapos ung sa standards dun papasok ang DTI para gawan ng standards ang helmet...
and sa pagkakaintindi ko... let say naka helmet ka nga pero di pasok sa standards, huli ka parin...

ang tanda ko na nasa guidelines ng helemt law... dapat meron ng sumusunod:
ung impact absorber sa loob...
at least DOT/ ECE approved...
at dapat may face shield/ lens or goggles
