i'm gonna buy helmet? my budget is only 4k. i wanted to buy INDEX since its more of style and cheaper than the ZEUS but it's not DOT certified. How good is the DOT certified helmet? do i have to trust my life to INDEX which is not DOT or SNELL approved?

Ei Jawfree since you said that you have a budget of 4K better buy a Helmet that is at least a DOT Approved ones Zues, HJC, and other brand have models for that budget. Think on safety first bago porma IMHO lang po

at 4k budget for helmet you can already buy a Zeus/HJC helmet may not be a flip up one but you can get one, you just have to know where to look

suggestions: try to visit JT triumph for HJC and beside it Exceed motors for Zeus helmets...try to PM accs for your inquiry he is the proprietor of Exceed :)

@jawfree,

bro, better to consider first your safety. If you could ask everybody here, they would recommend/encourage you to buy DOT and/or SNELL HELMET approved. Like what Grumpy have suggested, better PM ACCS here or do call/text him @ 0916-384-8751. Im sure he will HELP you on your inquiry. :punk:

yes I recommend HJC. CL-14 model cost about P4.2K. It has a Superior fit and finish with plush Nylex interior feature.

DOT is Dept of Transportation certified.

Snell I think is better than DOT. Snell is from Snell memorial foundation. www.smf.org

pre baka model no. yun. but sorry to say, hindi yan dot and snell certified.. unlike hjc or zeus..

if you guys are going to buy a helmet and your on a budget, get a zeus or if you have a flexible budget, get the hjc. mas sigurado yun.

Sa experienced ko lang sa mga helmets. I just want to share lang...

Mas-quality talaga ang HJC at matibay talaga. Nakabili na akong tatlong HJC helmets (CL-12 at FG10K full-face and AC-2 open-face).

Kahit P4.2K pa or pataas basta meron budget yun ang mas-magandang bilhin talaga.

Kapag nagka blessing ako bibili ako ng CL-14.:)

Bro, If I'm not mistaken, certification rating din yun kaya lang sa Thailand lang honored unlike DOT or SNELL, internationally honored sya.

BTW, I got a ZEUS 508 at Action Hobbies for 3K only!

I think meron pang discount AFAIK. Siguro mga P4K. I'm not very sure.

BTW yung chin strap lock ng HJC CL-14 mas-matibay din ang dating kung compare ito sa ibang helmet brand na lower price (from P3.8K to P4.2K).

yup.. i agree.. masarap talaga isuot HJC..

So yung nabili mo wala siyang easy lock or quick release lock?

Go For the HJC nalang ako dati naka index ako.... nung wala pa akong kamuang muang sa safety...

pero nung nag start nako mag race nalaman ko na di DOT certified yung index. kaya pinalitan ko kagad ng CL14. chaka for me kasi parang marupok yung index...

atleast kung HJC sigardo na safe ka. :)
