View Full Version : Helmet for Men with Glasses darthmarc April 22nd, 2009, 06:02 PM Mga masters ano kya ang best na helmet kapag meron kang glasses? Yung flip-up/modular o medyo maluwag na full face o half-face? Syke April 22nd, 2009, 06:13 PM For me Modular mas ok pag naka glasses Icon April 22nd, 2009, 06:34 PM Depends on your riding style. Definitely a Modular is a safer direction over a Halface since a halface lacks the chin protection a Modular gives. Thats just me. Although not to be hypocrit but i do own both and depends where I ride, determines the helmet i would use. Go buy both if i were you.... darthmarc April 22nd, 2009, 07:09 PM La po budget para 2 helmets e...Is there a good but affordable modular helm? How much po kya ang spyder enduro? vince15 April 22nd, 2009, 07:18 PM 2800 - 3k ang pinakamurang zeus modular helmet sa motoworld... im not sure sa spyder... nico_was_there April 22nd, 2009, 07:20 PM I wear glasses and I'm using Zeus modular maganda ang fit, DOT certified pa. Ok naman. darthmarc April 23rd, 2009, 02:25 PM Ok will go to a helmet store this weekend siguro. Try ko lahat NSCB April 23rd, 2009, 02:33 PM if you will be getting a modular helmet...consider this one... SPYDER Rebel...modular with dual visor pa...check mo na lang dito specs http://www.teamspyder.com/products/view/Rebel/88 cryptoknight April 23rd, 2009, 02:55 PM i wear full face but i can still wear eyeglasses / shades.. hassle nga lang pag maghuhubad at magsusuot ng helmet, pero konting discomfort lang yun, but its safer to have a full-face crash helmet rather than modular or lalo na pag half-face.. ur chin is left unprotected. whattamess! you never know kung kelan ka makikipagratratan sa kalsada, kaya mabuti ng palagi kang naka-FULL FACE... po-po-popo-popo-poker face...hehehe PEACE MEN. thanks and have a nice day. -cryptoknight loves andy :C darthmarc April 23rd, 2009, 03:54 PM hmm.sige we'll see...tamang tama mas mura ng full face. NSCB April 23rd, 2009, 04:27 PM i too wear eyeglasses...thats why i got myself a modular helmet...actually twice na... first a Zeus 508W, last year a Spyder Rebel...but i don't have any problem wearing my eyeglasses when i'm wearing my HJC full face helmet also.... i prefer to use the full face helmet most of the time, since the modular helmets i had tend to be a bit noisy compared to a full face helmet.... to add...most modular helmets being sold in the market do not have EPS on the chin bar.... r0nbarur0t April 23rd, 2009, 08:08 PM im wearing eyeglasses too pero kumportable naman ako using my full face helmet. saka mas safe pa. problema lang e need pa tanggalin pag isusuot o huhubarin yung helmet. pero ok lang din kasi mas prioritize ko yung safety ko:) ride safe to all:clap: bikermerc April 24th, 2009, 12:58 PM o medyo maluwag na full face o half-face? Sir i wouldn't recommned you buying a loose helmet...helmets should fit snugly without discomfort on your head.this is to prevent movement during use specially in an event of a spill. kung practicality, modular ang the best...pero maximum safety, fullface the best. i wear glasses also...may modular ako at may fullface. pag fullface and gamit ko...konting tyaga lang sa pagsuot, kelangan talaga alisin ang salamin.btw, masmadaling isuot ang salamin na diretso lang ang dulo ng braso sa tenga kesa sa may arc around the ear. Hardliner April 24th, 2009, 03:10 PM kapag modular helmet gamit mo, kahit di mo na tanggalin ang glasses mo kapag magsuot o magtanggal ng helmet. pero kapag full-face helmet naman, ang glasses mo ang tatanggalin mo kapag magsuot at magtanggal ng helmet darthmarc April 24th, 2009, 03:52 PM So kung ano best at abot sa budget ko yun na...will be browsing motoworld MOA tomorrow. Baka full face na Zeus siguro... R-1 April 24th, 2009, 04:22 PM it also depends a lot on the glasses, some glasses hurt when i wear them in my helmet. Here is a quick fix: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/motorcycle-glasses/ kaloi April 24th, 2009, 04:45 PM I'm wearing prescription glasses and I ride my bike to work daily so I chose to use Caberg Rhyno. It's modular so I don't need to take off my glasser when I put it on, and 2nd, it also has a dark inner visor for daytime riding. I believe there's also a Zeus model with same features. wezz442 April 26th, 2009, 11:14 AM I'm using a full face helmet. Bought a Zeus modular helmet sa motoworld moa. Ok sya gamitin. 1st ride ko kahapon from Pasig to Pasay, gamit ko sya. Sarap kasi no need to take off glasses pagsuot o pagtanggal ng helmet. Thanks uli. wow. la ka license? darthmarc April 27th, 2009, 11:56 PM la pa nga e.ni student permit la pa.this week,i'll secure a student permit. rockler8703 May 8th, 2009, 05:53 PM get a license first.. hehehe.. i use full face helmets. ok naman kahit may glasses ako. you should wear glasses na dikit sa side ng head mo yung support sa ear. at sakto sa mukha mo para hindi ka mahirapan pag nakahelmet ka. pangserbis_lang May 8th, 2009, 06:26 PM mga spyder helmet try mo, yung saken comfortable kahit naka eyeglass ako. yung nasa avatar ko yan tinutukoy ko, pwedeng pwede sa naka eyeglass. bigdaddycool July 27th, 2009, 01:48 AM ako zeus 508 modular ar caberg rhyno modular, glasses my whole life. its easy to put the helmet on without taking your glasses off on the above helmets. darthmarc July 27th, 2009, 09:08 AM ilang months na din itong zeus modular ko...im comfortable with it na dhonblanche1 July 27th, 2009, 10:51 AM modular sir or kahit full faced helmets..Or try to fit diff types of helmet and you will feel kung ano mas bagay sayo with your current glasses. Or why not buy a Contact lens sir i use it sometimes also.. pedro21 July 27th, 2009, 02:28 PM TS i also wear RX glasses when riding w/c everyday. Nun una i seriously considered a modular from zeus pero i thought of safety kaya i chose the oldschool zeus z1100... what I did is I added another RX glasses na deretso yung temples. I recomend oakley (not because those are what i am using) because of quality and workmanship ng frames nila. from time to time I wear contact lense pero mahirap sobrang prone sa puwing. some cons of wearing a RX glasses over fullface helmet are: 1. fogging pag sarado yung visor especially pag naulan. 2. wear off wear on ang salamin before the helment (kaya choose a quality RX frame) 3. hirap magsuot ng balaclava if you wear one. R-1 July 27th, 2009, 11:27 PM has anyone tried contact lenses? I think this will solve the fogging, plus you will have a wider field of view, and no glare at night. bruno tarugs July 27th, 2009, 11:27 PM magkano ba yang zeus modular helmets na orig? darthmarc July 27th, 2009, 11:39 PM 3,000 pataas men. R-1 August 5th, 2009, 04:00 PM has anyone tried contact lenses? I think this will solve the fogging, plus you will have a wider field of view, and no glare at night. update regarding contact lenses, I tried them for the first time last week, the glare or halo is worse than regular glasses, and they are expensive. Not practical for daily riders imho. Maybe for special occasions pwede :) suggestion ko for glasses is to choose ones with plastic earstems, my steel glasses are very corroded at the earstem or arms, the frame around the lenses themselves are not corroded, my plastic one looks new. sigurado you will be sweating inside your helmet so metal glasses are corroded quickly. Super Osram August 5th, 2009, 05:00 PM depende rin siguro sa shape ng ulo/face natin dahil nag-try ako ng 508, hirap isuot yung eyeglass............... still searching for my third helmet......... R-1 August 7th, 2009, 01:03 AM depende rin siguro sa shape ng ulo/face natin dahil nag-try ako ng 508, hirap isuot yung eyeglass............... still searching for my third helmet......... yes, and depende rin sa shape ng eyeglasses especially the arms. dapat manipis and should hug your head. In my experience helmets with thicker foam pads inside are more comfortable, my hjc is more comfortable than my zeus with the glasses. pwede rin siguro i-modify ang helmet pads by making a groove or indentation to accomodate the eyeglassess arms, that way the helmet will not press the arms into your head so it will not be painful. i can tolerate most eyeglasses on short rides, but on 3, 4, 5 or more hours rides uncomfortable na or even painful. jtbikes August 8th, 2009, 02:16 PM Sir, Mag HJC ka na lang,.. meron kami dito sa triumph JT, ako din naka eye glass, maganda naman ung fit..... 6K ECE and may ICC sticker na din. |
