Can someone tell me if this is true? A store attendant told me that all helmets of the same model (Zeus-3000A in particlar) have the same shell size --the only thing that differs between sizes are the thickness of the paddings inside--which means in order to make a right fit, a smaller size helmets have thicker paddings compared to larger ones.

Isn't it a compromise of safety if you're wearing a bigger size helmet because it has a not-so-thick paddings.:?

Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

this is true.

But the paddings will help to a certain extent only. The initial impact must be absorbed bny the shell.

no offense to sir Kaizen's opinion but i was told differently;
the shell is to protect the head from the initial brunt of da impact but what really softens da blow is the polystyrene inside that acts as the crumple zone..
that is why helmet (or the polystyrene) has a life span op 5 yrs... kase yung foam inside ay napipipi..

as long as it is a SNELL/DOT certified helmet, all you have to wori is how to get one that fits properly......
surely they tested the whole product range.....

correct me if i'm wrong...

Thanks for replying, D'Virus & Kaizen. I got a new one this morning, and it fits just right. With DOT approval for this model, I believe there's nothing to worry about.

Thanks again. Ride safe and Godbless! :)
