As a rider in the SE USA (Florida, Georgia, Alabama) I do ride in my share of summer heat. But I'm sure its not like the Philippines.

But here is what I have learned on this side of the globe.

Some have been talked about here already.

Vented Jackets, Cooling Vest (http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123596&highlight=cooling),
Wet T shirt is also discussed on post 34 on the link above.

LDComfort (http://ldcomfort.com/) is a twist on this.
Mario (who I met in Tulsa in August) makes a great set of garments. He uses a microfiber material that wicks away the moisture on the skin to keep you dry. However you can wet it down.

Let me elaborate. He told me that though he makes both long and short sleeve tops and breifs he suggests the long sleeve in hot weather. He has a trick that he uses and its great.

Wear a heavy non vented goretex jacket. Open the wrist cuffs, and zip up your neck not too tight but not too loose. The idea is to have more area on the wrists open than the area around your neck. Double the area in the arms is twice the air flow at the neck. Ok.. well now we have double speed hot air around your neck. Nice but not so nice. Now... Lets take a bottled water. And while riding on those long rides (you know the ones i like to ride :D) Just soak your sleeves under your jacket. The jacket shirt gets wet. It doesnt get your skin wet and clammy because the LDComfort shirt wicks away the moisture (It really does.. its amazing.) but the air in the sleeves uses a condensation action (just like air conditioning works) to bring the air across the moisture to create cooling. Then the cool air goes out the neck. Getting hot? Just add water.

THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!!

They also have a separate long sleeve only. Like a tube for your arms that may be a good solution.

Vented jackets run hot air thru you and dehydrate you.
Wet t shirts are not for your skin but its a good cheap solution in a pinch when the heat is unbearable.

For me....Im all about safety. And Goretex is all about staying dry. I love my Goretex outfit but hate it in the heat...

This solution will allow me to keep rolling rain or shine, and as long as I am moving im riding in air condition. I dont ride unless Im doing at least 200km. I wont even gear up for less than that. So it fits me. If you are looking for that kind of solution that may work well for you too...

Tell Mario I said hi!

Heres a link to the cooling sleeve.

keeping cool under a jacket

1. wear the h2out liner...
2. in the inner pockets of the main jacket, place blue ice cooler packs (blue gel in a rubber bag/plastic pack... there are several brands out there...)...
3. wear jacket and close up...

h2out liner keeps you dry and prevents too much air movement...
cooler packs lower temps inside the jacket tremendously...

i've done 400 kms in a really hot day with this on and kept cool througout... i also wear a hydration pack to keep my from dehydrating during hot-day rides...

when i want to wear lighter clothing, i go with a cooling vest...
even lighter, i wear a wet tshirt...

Can you give me a link to this item? I have not heard of it. But it may be the same as something I'm familiar with over here. Sounds like a GORETEX inner liner? for under your mesh jacket? Maybe its that woven plastic like painters use those white suits..... TYVEK. Here we call em "frog togs" but its a rain suit.

Thats a GREAT idea.. Question is how to keep them cold on a multi day ride? Two/3/4 sets and a mini dry ice cooler in your trunk?

I wonder how this does in traffic?

Cooling vest. Which one? Description?
even lighter, i wear a wet tshirt...
Thats got to feel good sliding down the road at speed after a wipe out. Ill pass on that one.

I subscribe to the ATGATT theory. All The Gear All The Time.

Good notes though for sure.
