I have a few, free pocket tools from Kymco (some small wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)

I also have some questions too:

1. Ever heard of Aston super wrench on tv? are they any good? it's priced at 1495php
2. How much is a pressure gauge anyway?

:)

at select gas stations, their air pumps has air gauges. ;-)

Better to avoid gas station presure gauges, they are very often inaccurate and I don't know how often, if ever, they are checked for correct calibration. Just carry a pencil type one in your pocket.

As for what's in my tool Box, that's not my problem. It's what ISN'T in my toolbox when I need it that gets me:O

That durned 11mm socket I swear hides from me when I need it, then magically reappears when I don't.......

I have a tool bag with me along with a medic bag, whenever I go for a long ride. I'm like you Growler, there's way too much stuff in the bag to carry. I've gotten smart by separating the SAE from the Metric. SAE when riding the Harley and vice versa with the rest. Fortunately, I don't get to use either bag much when I'm on the road. One thing for sure, there's enough tools there to allow me to tear the bike down to its itty bitty frame.

I carry a tire flat repair kit(the plug in type) , small air pump , a tire gauge, boxed wrench sizes 10,12,14 a philips and flat screw driver and a spark plug wrench, a couple of meter of auto electrical wire and some extra bulbs inside my tool pouch cause most often those roadside tire repair shops doesn't want to dismantle our bikes, wheels.

a small good quality tire pressure gauge usually cost around 1oo to 300 pesos.

I have these japanese tools and it has pen type air guage with it which I keep it on my compartment. The printed unit calibration is "Kg", dunno what that means if its kg/sq. in., I know is psi. Sir any idea?

I found this site which might help but I don't have a full answer to your question:

http://www.simetric.co.uk/

Some manufacturers also specify tyre pressures in "bar", and others in "Psi"

I have a simple pen type gauge (maybe P250 at ACE I think) which has Bar on one side, PSI on the other. Cheap and reliable, why not get one of those?

Incidentally, do check your pressures regularly everyone. You would be surprised how much a bike tyre can lose in just a week or so.

......LOL, reading this thread again I remember that old joke....

You only need 2 items in your toolbox.

1. WD-40
2. Duct Tape

The WD-40 is for things that should move but don't.

The Duct tape is for things that shouldn't move but do.

Let me add to that if I may...

3. vice grip - holds things in place
4. hammer - gets things out of the way
5. wire/rope/string - emergency throttle/clutch cables and can also be used to keep your grocery bags tied and balanced on your pillion seat. :O

I don't ride in the streets but during race practice I carry these: 10mm/8mm box wrench (short), allen tools, small adjustable wrench that can open my spark plug, sand paper, and a Victorinox knife (much longer than the usual thing) with blade lock, alambre, and plastic tie downs. When I go trecking I bring additional tools like small plier, 12mm/14mm box wrench (short), reversible screw driver, rear tire wrench (short), and rock climbing tools (rope, carabiners, acenders, brakes, and sometimes a hammer and pegs). My most reliable tool is my portable phone. I have all the tools that I may need in my van so it's not really a big problem for me and with the tools that I have, I can even do major engine repairs. Maybe that is the reason why my van gobbles up too much fuel :O

Everytime before we ride, our bikes gets serviced/checked/maintained and is always in top condition. I hate repairing on Sundays...

WD-40 and duct tape is always a must!
