mikafajardo August 27th, 2008, 01:28 AM You pay peanuts and you get monkeys:)
If you were able to buy a bike, why scrimp on protective gears. Not unless you dont mind how much you will be spending in the hospital if needed.
Get one that is reputable and safe. Enough said:D
bckennel_04 November 1st, 2009, 03:29 PM up ko lang

Too true....
Its been mentioned too many times in this site. How much is your head worth??? Do you put a price limit on safety?? All you have to check IF the brand has gone through the safety standards required to protect the user. Besides, that's that whole point in buying a protective gear in the 1st place.....
If i had a say in relation to the law, I wont allow anyone to buy an MC unless the buyer will present the proper gears prior to releasing the vehicle to the purchaser....

BETTER invest on your gears... kasi malessen ung damage sa mga AKSIDENTE....
lets say you used class A.... ung GDR helmet na gamit ng rider sa marilaque sememplang HATI... ayon dedo si driver...i dont know if orig or class A..
just an advised.. INVEST on your gears...kesa unahin mods ng motor nyo..

I completely agree with you and mikefajardo!
If I may add, aside from checking if the brand has gone through the safety standards, you have to wonder if what's being advertised is really true. Even if a particular helmet model has all the safety approvals, it doesn't mean that the version we are getting here has the same specs. So in my opinion, brand reputation is one of the things to consider when shopping for a new helmet.
Sorry for my OT but regarding the law, I wish affordable comprehensive insurance be made compulsary to all motorcyclists as from experience, I noticed that too many riders can't afford medical and repair bills when accidents happen. Then put up guidelines to help reduce insurance cost by giving riders an option to use a insurance-approved helmet (e.g. REAL safety helmets), insurance approved locks (locks that REALLY work to prevent bike theft), etc.

Put up the guidelines....I am very certain that you have a very good insight on how to go about this.....then bring it up to either nra or a strong lobbying group to get this started.

Wala nang ulo si motorista pagtingin sa katawan, nakita yung helmet with the head inside it.
GDR gamit ko, im not being negative or anything, actually bibili nga din ako ng Zeus. :o

+1 yung GDR ko nadala na po ako sa Mt. Samat, La Union at Baguio City.
