Are there tear-offs for helmet shields sold separately or are they all sold as one with race shields?

I'm thinking that they cannot be used on standard shields since they have a special mechanism that attaches them to race shields.

Any confirmation?

Faceshields with tear off posts can be purchased for your helmet (depending on make and model). Tear offs are sold separately. You can get them for your goggles too, I'm sure our off road members knows that already. :C

I doubt if they make them for standard shield. The one that I use before was from a company called "Racing Optics" (can't remember that details). You can check with your motorcycle dealers if they carry them and ask if the company makes one that fits your faceshield w/o mods.

That's what I was thinking too. I just wanted to make sure because I don't use a race shield. Thanks for the info. The next step is to consult with my supplier.
