BF Homeowners/Riders:

Have you recently taken the strip between Aguirre Ave & Alabang Hills 10PM onwards?...

...NO!

Then your gonna be in for a surprise if you do!

...YES!

Then please tell me what the hell is going on? :?

I use this route regularly. What's going on?

...Growler

I just had a nice quiet dinner in Boston Burger and was on my way home (BF Inner Circle) I decided to take this street which I deemed safer & closer and halfway I came across a road block with two guards informing me that motorcycles are not allowed to pass the area after 10PM.

What the F__K!, --- I live here! They did'nt even bother to ask for an ID or sticker to verify just plain "NO MOTORCYCLES ALLOWED TO PASS AFTER 10PM". I did'nt feel like making a scene cause I did'nt want to ruin my good meal so forgive me for not making a stand (decided to identify my nemesis and fight another day)---SunTzu :D

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!

Did some RIDER PISS OFF SOME "POOR LITTLE RICH INFLUENTIAL PERSON/s" so they decided to close the street --- this reminds me of that little stretch of road that was closed to riders along Starbucks/Seattles Best in Rockwell/Powerplant?.

:? :angry: F__K!

Apparently, those goons had already ruined your good meal.
Sorry to hear about that.

Maybe a couple of riders (with loud pipes) zoom across that same street every night.

Maybe someone complained?

Now, they wouldn't be doing that for our own safety would they?

Sun Tzu --- Art Of War? Love that book! :)

<sorry I missed the button and posted a new thread>...just pissed off I guess from the event!

There are more cars with "noisy" exhaust racing along the roads at night.

So if that's the reason then I guess they can't ban cars cause it's like locking the gate before you enter the house! :crazy:

It's baseless and there were no circulation of the ban --- it smells like BLACK OPs to me!.

Dondi

just curious...where did you pass? Concha Cruz Drive?

Well, there's nothing The Growler likes better than challenging petty jobsworths who try and take away his rights. The asawa keeps telling me I have a very intimidating style sometimes, so now is the time to use it!

Therefore I shall try this out for myself, and, if stopped, point out why a dues-paying resident is denied use of his sub-division roads and under what authority and demand they produce it.

I will post the outcome.

Growler, I think the name of the street that idstrazzen was referring to is Tirona st.

BFRs (bee-fers = BF Riders),

Spdfgtrs right it's Tirona and I'm still doing research as to who or what :D implemented this ban. So I was left with the option of passing the longer & "less" safe Concha Cruz Drive.

Like what I said earlier there's so much PLRIPs (plurps) in this country and think they can just make laws on a whim --- POLITICO WANNABES.

Anyway if I do get some info I'll post it so maybe someone sensible out there may bring some common sense.

Growler, Spdfgtr & other BFRs share you experiences! - maybe I was just to "noisy" so it may have been a selective thing.

I will check to see where Tirona is. I always use Concha Cruz to go out that end cos I didn't know there was any other way.

If you dont have an Alabang Hills sticker then you cannot pass through their village via Tirona street if you want to go to Alabang. Tirona street transverses both BF Homes and Alabang Hills. Concha Cruz Drive will still be your nearest way to go to Alabang if you dont have the Alabang Hills sticker.

You can get thru Tirona on a bike no problem. I do it most days. Cars though do need a sticker.

I go thru tirona gate to alabang and vice versa also. .. Last week there were about 15 of us jet riders who passed from alabang-zapote rd with all our headlights on and no alabang hills stickers at all. I know it will be very intimidating for the alabang hills guard and they were about to stop us. But I just saluted to them and did a thumbs up and pointed to the rest of the riders behind me. They let us thru then we went thru alabang hills village going thru the service road. There were not any problems. If you guys want we can all talk to the village manager and complain all together.

regards.

Now was I selectively descriminated?!?

Like everyone else I do and have been taking this pass for a couple of years now and this is the first time I've encountered the road block.

Has anyone BFRs, Southies, anyone tried passing the route recently...like a couple of days ago?.

Anyway as for follow ups I did find out it was the "Inner Circles Assn" that was responsible for the ban and as the security guard put it "Maingay daw kasi and motor" --- F__K!, don't they know it's an internal combustion engine. There's a survey in the village this week and I am noting the ban as highly irregular.

So, south commuters take note!

Have a safe ride!!! :*

I have been a BF Homes resident for the longest time already and believe me when I say that this noise ordinance will only last a week or so then after that it will be only a memory. "Ningas cogon" again just like the speeding, illegal parking, curfew and the other ordinances that the associations tried to implement years ago.

That explains it, thanks. I can see the sense in going through Alabang Hills as the traffic from Honda towards Concha Cruz gets really bad.

I wonder if they would try to stop me on the Police bike or even on the Valkyrie with the Traffic Group and LERAP stickers:)

OK, I tried this route on my Harley last night at around 10.30 p.m. It is not the quietest of beasts at the best of times, though I do ride on a light right hand at night out of courtesy to people who have to go to work in the morning.

I encountered no problem, whatsoever.

Now this could be anything:

(a) I am well known to the guards and always get a wave and a greeting, thus for some reason they didn't feel I qualified as a candidate to be stopped;

(b) (hate to say this, but it's often the case) I am a foreigner;

(c) ningas cogon, i.e. it's all getting too hard, so let's just let it fade away;

(d) maybe somebody protested, I dunno, take your pick.

I suppose Residents' Associations have the right to make their rules, but at least they should post them in a conspicuous place. They could also do me a favour by banning barking dogs after 10 p.m. Those are a damn sight more annoying IMHO than the very occasional motorycle.

Funny you should say that. I was thinking of asking someone I know who lives there to get me a sticker for the car ;)
