what are the essential gears (helmet, gloves, etc) that must be used/worn when riding your mc?where can they be bought?..for the helmet, what should be the basis that must be looked at when purchasing one?

well here are the essentials:
1) helmet (try to look for a dot/snell approved one...)
2) padded jakets
3) hi/mid cut shoes
4) knee/shin guard
5) gloves
all these you can get at motoworld... or browse the for sale threads... goodluck... HTH:D

first thing to get is a good helmet, get one that is ECE22.05 or SNELL certified then start to save up for gloves, jackets and boots. i would get it in that particular order, just don't skimp on you helmet and settle for non certified helmets. ZEUS would be a good start for helmet you can get it at MOA.

when choosing gloves, jackets, etc., is there any counterparts like the helmets SNELL/DOT cert.? what should be looked at when choosing the other gears?

Well sir that depends , if you're into city driving style which more or less averages 80kph on speed, most of the padded jackets and gloves you'll find here will do. But if you're planning to go on out-of-town rides and want to test your riding skills, I suggest go for the jackets with thicker armor/padding as well as knuckled-gloves and knee/shin protectors. Ride safe!

i've been wearing eyeglasses long before i've started riding MCs...i've always used Full face helmets and have owned quite a number of different brands and models....never had any problem as far as my eyeglasses are concerned.

just remove them before you put on your helmet...dont forget to take them off also before you remove your helmet...its just as easy as that....

may i know what brands you used?i tried fitting zeus fullface helmets but i cannot put "in" my eyeglasses (maybe bec they are wire-rimmed glasses?)..i would really prefer fullface over modular helmets..

btw, what material is the frame of your glasses?

my current helmet is HJC CL15 Orbit...(my avatar) and had a CL14 Kast before...
for KBC.... a VR2 Legend & a TK 77 Viper...
Zeus...Z803, Z2000, Z2000A & a Z508W

all of these are fullface helmets except for the Z508W...

the temples of my eyeglasses are made of thin metal covered with plastic...no thicker than those of the regular rayban sunglasses...

ic..maybe the reason the material of my eyeglass frame. its just a thin metal without any plastic to "stiffen" it. but il again try to fit the commercially available fullface helmets.

where were you able to source your kbc helmet?are there any local dealers (shops) of KBC?

how bout ICON helmets, any local dealers?
