View Full Version : Rear Compartment for the Pax Club
madrista June 5th, 2003, 07:18 AM Hi
I bought an HGC Full Face helmet so that I could survive a crash in case that may happen to me. However its kind of annoying me to carry the helmet with me all the time when I park my scoot. On the parking lot I notice a lot MC riders leave thier helmets behind, often time not secured with a lock. But of course those helmets are the cheap ones not ment for safety but for avoiding traffic tickets. If I leave my helmet behind out in the open, even with a lock i'm sure I won't be seeing it when I come back.
So my question is.... Is ther a Rear lockable Compartment that I could buy for my Pax Club. One that is big enough to hold my helment inside? Where could I buy one? How much would it cost?
TIA
oj88 June 5th, 2003, 09:45 AM Madrista,
You can buy a bicycle lock or a cable lock to secure your helmet on the bike.
If the cable lock is long enough, put the helmet on the seat and wrap the cable lock around the side and into the rear tire then back the other side and into the helmet's chin guard.
Another way is put it on the floorboard and wrap the cable through the underside of your scoot. This is even simpler if any part of your chassis is exposed.
GShoCK June 5th, 2003, 04:06 PM i also had a HONDA Pax Club! it had a helmet holder at the Seat hindge, now that is locked and secured by the seat lock.
Or like most scoots, they just install a hook type lock to place the helmet there
SmashGear June 5th, 2003, 05:21 PM locking ur helmet using the hook under the scoot's seat may not be that safe. pde kasi i-cut, yung strap ng helmet e. although, di ganun kabilis gawin yun, pwedeng pde gawin ng determinadong magnanakaw. siguro mas higher ang safety level nung helmet na naka-cable lock sa upuan o san mang parte ng scooter.
just a thought :)

Yeah....
hmm....
O well... I carry my helmet around anyway! :D :) ;)
madrista June 6th, 2003, 02:11 AM Thanks for all the suggestions regarding how to secure my helmet. As I mentioned before I am not comfortable in leaving my helmet out in the open. Even with a helmet lock and cable solution. Just think about it some vandals would love to sratch a black shiny helmet. As somebody mentioned here you could simply cut the strap and steal it.
I am thinking of a rear lockable compartment solution. I saw some scoots who have them. I just don't know where to buy them or is there one thats big enough to hold a full face helmet inside.
If there isn't such a thing... then I guess I would have to carry the thing when I park my scoot. :?
GShoCK June 6th, 2003, 02:17 AM Madrista, RKP has a compartment thing for sale, but i have no idea if it could be mounted on a scooter? it looks big enough to fit a full face helmet though

Gshock, Who's RKP? Is that a store or a person? :?
Pasenya ka na wala ako masyado alam about scooters and shops in the metropolis. Hinda pa kasi ako nakakalibot labas ng San Juan to windowshop. =b
TIA
GShoCK June 8th, 2003, 08:31 PM RKP is a store along Pasong tamo, look at the dealers page
madrista June 9th, 2003, 03:12 AM KEV, thank you for the info :)
According to your email signature you have a Pax Club too.
Paano mo na-setup yan to 70cc? Fully restored ba yan Pax Club mo?
GShoCK June 9th, 2003, 11:17 AM This is my Pax
<img src="http://motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=7517">
it has a Honda Dio Engine attached to it, with 70cc upgrade kit, race gearing, race Cdi, 32mm OKO flat Slide(Currently for sale yung 32mm OKO)
GShoCK June 9th, 2003, 11:22 AM This was my Pax Club
sira sira din yung body work nya so i just put a Dio front end to make it look better

GShoCk, Ganda ng Pax Club mo!!! Same color tayo Grey din. :D
Is it true that the Pax Club has a Dio 1 engine? Nag engine swap ka ba?
So san mo nabili yung 70cc upgrade kit at iba pang parts? Magkano damage nun? =b
Yung Race Gearing ba yung Variator? Pinalitan kasi yung variator weights ko recently pati yung set of Piston.
I requested of course an upgrade path that is reliable for daily driven use. Qoute nya na gastos Php 2,200 for the Race Muffler and Php 600 for the Porting job.
Pudpud na yung Rear Tires ko kaya its time for me to buy a new set of Mags and Tires as my next upgrade? Ano ba size ng Rims ng Pax Club? Same size ba siya with the Dio 1? My mechanic qouted me Php 6,000 for the lightweight alloy mag wheels. Its too expensive so i'm looking for a more reasonably priced mag wheels.

Puwede ba yung Dio body conversion for the Pax Club? Bakit hindi mo pa tinuloy? :D
Kaya hindi lapat yung fit with the floorboard.
GShoCK June 10th, 2003, 08:39 PM hindi madali i contvert yung body panels ng DIO sa PAX, yung front panel was literally bolt on... mas mahaba and mataba yung Dio compared sa Pax and Pax Club(i attached a pic of what a PAX Club is supposed to look like with complete body panels)
i swapped the engine from a Dio para tipid sa parts and there are more mods to be installed, first i started with a 90cc, pero sobra lakas sa gas and i had to mix 2T to the tank, now naka 70cc nalang kasi im still using yung stock na 2T oil pump, and hindi din ganun kalakas sa gas

Ganda ng Dio Club mo! :)
Pwede ba makita siya in person? Gagayahin ko lang! I am not ashamed to ask... but i'm really serious. Yan mismio yung body Mod na-imagine ko at balak ko gawin. Saan mo nabili yung body parts? Magkano inabot?
Mukhang masyado advanced na yung Engine Mods. Saka na siguro ko gagawin yan. Body Mod and Mags and gagustusan ko asap.
GShoCK June 11th, 2003, 02:58 PM the dio engine is Bolt on sa Pax frame, just have to change the bolt that goes in the engine support, mas payat kasi yung stock ng Pax, i live near cash and carry in makati, you can see it if you want to.
The engine mods are not hardcore, madali lang yung mga yun, as for the prices, dont ask me, there are people here who can help you better
yung 70cc block, head, piston, are from Koso, i think?! I'm not so sure, pero they just fit to the engine without any hassle, just get a good mechanic to port it all out.
the big wheels are also from a Dio, kaso lang i prefer yung "Semi-Mags" or 2 piece hubs kasi its cheaper! :D you can get a set for about 4,000 pesos, set na yun, hub, rim, tire and brake shoe.
2,200 pesos for a race muffler is ok, as long as its brand new.
