The best safety gear to recommend is a riding helmet, indeed it's required by law when riding MC's.

The best safety gears in riding?

PRAYERS! Before and After the ride. IT will surely shield you from any harm.

Go for gears that will suits you best, that is comfortable both on your body and pocket.

PEACE and SAFE RIDE Brother!:)

for road riding (kahit kanto lang):

quality certified helmets
riding gloves (not trail gloves)
armoured jacket
armoured riding pants (or at least kevlar lined jeans)
riding boots..

as somebody stated, prayers and always be alert.....

always, ALWAYS wear your gears when you go for a ride....

Best safety gears?

Firstly, lets say whenever I leave even just to the grocery, I wear a half-face helmet and gloves. BUT NEVER WEAR SANDO AND SLIPPERS....

Then, when going for a longer drive like my 16km drive to the university, I wear a full-face, gloves and padded mesh jacket.

Finally for long trips, I wear my best full-face, high cuffed gloves, leather jacket with mesh padded pants and boots...
