Burnout

Y'know when off-road racers do sharp turns they put one of their feet down to touch the ground because dirt bikes cannot be banked, especially on tight corners.
So I'm worndering if there are skid-plates available for shoes because obviously if people are going to do such moves on the street roads then the rubber of their shoes will eventually be consumed by the asphalt. So the shoes will need some sort of mechanism for protection.
Anyone know of any?
I usually do this type of move during sharp entries into tight sections of road. And after a while of doing this technique I have noticed that there is little rubber left on my shoes!
