What stuffs do you use to protect your cellphone or PDA when you ride?
I put my mobile phone in my pant pocket when I ride and it really took some bad beatings when I fell on a couple of occations. Now my cellphone isn't even working properly anymore.
What gears or techniques do you apply to protect your cellphones or small electronic devices when you ride?

If you can get a small tank bag it'll serve your needs. You can put other stuff in it as well.

when rain really starts to pour I stop at shell ministop,or petron treats, or any store that will do like 7-11 and ask politely for a plastic sanwich bag or just a small simple plastic bag which is for free and put there all my gadgets like cellfone, pda or even digicam.... now if I dont have a place to put the bag full of gadgets, I tuck-in my inside shirt and use my body and shirt as a pocket.

no high-tech pouches for me, just a simple celfone case strapped to my belt which i bought from one of the many celfone stalls found in malls. although i use a 'hands-free' just in case somebody would call me during a ride.

You might want to think about:
1. zip lock sandwich bags for your phone or any small stuff you want to keep from getting wet
2. a waterproof pouch bag or if not, a regular one with the plastic bag in #1
3. if you bring a backpack, same thing - plastic bags are wonderful. Just make sure the peanut butter was washed off :)
4. a small 3M or similar magic rag - small pieces absorb a lot. Great for wiping your bike seat or other wet parts after it rains. (saw Levi do this and now I have one too)
If you got into an accident and your mobile phone got beat up, be grateful something else got beat up, and not you.
Hope you don't use your phone while you drive. I've even seen some bikers 'texting' while riding :S . Just a matter of luck that they're still riding...

I'm thinking of just buying a sports-oriented cellphone for people on the go.
Nokia has released two such models in the past. They have paddings that serve as impact-absorbers for the cellphones.
I'm still thinking though. Thanks for the input guys!
