But wala akong paki sa fashion.

MCPeans, Please help me decide...

Hay., Sana ma-gets nyo post ko.

Exoskeleton-Type Armor (ie Fox, Pole Position):
- Offers protection to your shoulder.
- Offers protection to your elbow.
- Offers partly protection to your ribs.
- Offers protection to your back.
*Gears are skinny.
*Direct impact would immediately tear apart the gear unlike with pads.
*Need to have a separate reflectorized vest.
*Can't put any logo.

Mesh-Type Jackets:
- Comes in many colors.
- Comes with pads
- Comes with foams.
- With reflectors.

My personal analysis and comparison about Exoskeleton-Type of Armor:

My personal analysis and comparison about Mesh-Type Jacket:

Lastly:
Price range please of Fox-Type Armor and Mesh-Type Jacket...

Hmmm... good question bro. The problem with exoskeleton type is its quite awkward to wear them when you're not riding and they're very cumbersome when storing in a bag. Although the hard plastic and rubber backing offers better protection.

Jacket types are better since they provide impact absorbtion as well as abrassion resistant (to a certain degree) to protect your hide.

Have you considered Komine Jackets, they combine hard plastic with soft thick rubber backing.

Fox armors would set you back 2.5K to 3.5K while Mesh jackets would cost you 2.5K to 10K depending on the brand and level of proctection it provides.

If you have the budget, then definately go for the mesh-jackets. More stylish and better protection. To be honest with you, the external armors were made for dirtbike riding if I am not mistaken...so, not being on a dirt track, it would be ideal to wear a mesh jacket.

Up ko lang 'tong thread na 'to...
Here's my scenario now:

I have a semi-leather type jacket (Duhan Repsol Replica). Okay naman yung leather nya, medyo may laban naman against rain kaso super bigat kapag nabasa. With regards to fashion, okay naman, may pagka-head turner sya sa mga common people (non-motorists).

I'm planning to buy a Back Protector, (I prefer Fox) to replace the thin pad at the back of my jacket. Kaso nga lang, mas gusto kong i-consider yung factor na "Safety First Before Fashion". Kaso napapaisip din ako, kasi yung Jacket ko, good sya for Cold, Windy and Rainy season.

So here's now my Question:
1. Nowadays, magkano na lang ba Back Protector?

Protek-todo na likod ko, so that means that my main objective has been accomplished. Kaso, come to think of it, magkano na lang din ang diperensya nun, may Body Armor na ko na pwede ko ring magamit as safety gear special during tag-init.

So here's now my follow-up Question:
Whereas kapag malamig, i-detach ko lang yung backpro from the Body Armor at suotin ko within the semi-leather Jacket.)
2. If not, anong brand lang ang pwedeng i-detach yung backpro from its all-in-one body armor na pwede mo ring isuot independently?

Kasi kung wala, worse case scenario, bibilhin ko yan pareho for the sake of my safety.

Thanks po sa offer. I'll think of that as another option.

@jerkzzz2173 (http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/member.php?u=70429),
Thanks sa pag-post nang Similar Thread:O (I already read it kaso iba kinahantungan nang thread).
Kaso this time hindi na comparison about Mesh against Exoskeleton ang concern ko. Its about the Back Protector against Body Armor.

Hope you understand
