Mga bro ask ko lang kung gaano ka-importante ang gears sa inyo...

Marami kasi akong nakikita sa kalye na mga riders na wala naman gears sa katawan.....Kailangan ba talaga ng mga riders un?

Meron din akong mga nakakausap na ibang riders na "kahit may gears ka, kung oras mo na, oras mo na" at di ka mapprotektahan ng gears mo.......

Last week kasi nakabili ako ng gears tapos parang bigla ko nalang naisip kung para saan ba talaga ang mga gears......Pang proteksyon ba o Pang porma lang?

Gears ? The MOST IMPORTANT, Its not a question of how far or how near you are to your destination.

The purpose of gear is to protect yourself,GEARS wont stop accident but GEARS saves lives especially the helmet.Theres a BIG difference on the DAMAGES,the rider that wears his/her gear will have LESS damage compare to a rider thas NO protection at all.

Do yourself a favor and search on this forum and see how important safety gears is on a rider's everydays life.

Also you need to educate yourself when it comes to safety,because one day this SAFETY GEARS that you think are LESS important might save your life or will give you LESS damage on our precious body.

may not ALways protect you but will definitely protect you from minor spills...

because majority na nakakausap ko or nag tatanong sakin about sa gears eh interested sila until malalaman nila yung price at nawawalan na ng interest....

di ko alam bakit sila ganun pero ang daming pera pampapaganda ng mga motor nila kaso pag dating sa sariling safety mga walang perang mailabas....

gears are very important they may reduce the damage na ibibigay sayo ng isang semplang and kung wala kang gears pag sumemplang ka katakot takot na sugat aabutin mo....

based on experience lang po....

sumemplang ako last december kung wala akong elbow pads malamang bali ang left elbow ko pero hindi nabali kung di nabugbog lang dahil sa gears ko....

kung wala akong gears malamang wala na kong braso ngayon....

and too many experiences na ko and im very thankful at naka gears ako lagi at that time....

last sunday kasama ko mga zoom ng mcp...sumemplang ako...kung ala ako elbow guards malamang may mahabang [peklat ako sa braso ngaun..

Bro, siguro naman bumping into a truck or bus make up a small percentage (I hope) of mc accidents. Most mc accidents are from simple spills or slides, IMHO. I have no stats. to back up this claim. But if dying from DBTW(Death By Truck Wheels) comprised a majority of mc accidents, most of us will be dead right now.

let me share my view on the saying "kung Oras mo na..."

its true that no amount of protective gear may save a rider when his/her time is up....

for the purpose of discussion...let's say a rider got into an accident without wearing any protective gears on, and lets say his time is still due after 10 years or more...how would you think he'll live the rest of his life if he is already a vegetable?

for me it is really needed for a rider to have protective gears.. like on my experience, accidents really happen..expect the unexpected.. malamit man o malayo, or mabagal man o mabilis ka magpatakbo.. ako nagkaron ng mishap... talaga namang nakatulong yung gear.. kasi kung di ako nakagear that time.. malamang may dalawang tocino ako ngaun sa tuhod ko at ang mukha ko cguro eh mukha na ring semento..

IMHO... accidents are accidents... no one could tell kung kailan 'to mangyayari
it would be better na may gears kang naka-ready when it does happen
kapag sumemplang ka, malapit man o malayo ang trip, damage would be just the same

Accidents can be prevented and damages can be reduced. Death is inevitable because its fate. Sooner or later we all shall have "close calls" and if wasn't for split second alertness or protective gears it could have been worse. Gears are important other than their intent and and purpose. Psychologically, when you put on your gear you set your mind for the ride. It helps you to psyche up and it set you up for the proper discipline.

di nya malelessen ang chance na maaksidente ka pero it will lessen the injury na maiinflict sayo ng aksidente. It may not necessarily save your life pero at least mas malaki na ang chances mo ng survival. kahit na 1% lang maidagdag nya sa chances mo for survival, i'd still take that 1%. malay natin, that one percent might be the deciding factor kung mag survive ka o hindi.

another thing i've noticed is whenever i wear the Fox full armor mas less ang stain sa back maybe dahil sa spine pro which also serves as spine support. may pagkakuba kasi ako kaya yun ang napansin ko

tama nga naman. pero according sa isang saying "Do your best and God will do the rest." sige lang, kahit oras mo na, gawin mo lang ang makakaya mo... God will be proud of you because you did what is right.

but other riders may think otherwise din. pero sige lang. gawin mo lang kung ano sa tingin mo ang nararapat...

Naka dt 100 ako noong mga 1980's. Natumbahan ako ng motor ko. Pero, naka rubber boots ako noon dahil medjo umuulan ulan. Medjo masakit. Noong tinanggal ko yung boots ko, butas pala. Kung wala pala akong suot, yung balat ko ang nabutas.
Nakadilihensya ako ng alpinestars na motocross boots noong bago pa yung dt ko, 1998. Suot ko sya palagi, hanggang sa madurog sa kalumaan. Balik sa rubber boots.
Ngayong meron na akong xr200, nakadilihensya uli ako ng O'neal motocross boots M10. Suot ko na uli palagi. Pero pag umuulan, suot ko na lang ang rubber boots. Madaling masira ang motocross boots pag madalas mababad sa ulan.
Lagi akong nakabalot ng kung anu-ano. Sanay na ako. Kahit pinagtitinginan ako ng mga tao, ok lang. Sa pinaparadahan ko, mga 20 motor doon, ako lang ata ang medjo may balot o safety gear. Pero, halos lahat ng motor, modified kahit maski muffler lang. Hindi ko na lang sila sasabihan tungkol sa safety gear. Kita na nila. Kaso, parang tinatamaan sila kahit hindi ako nagsasalita, kaya madalas, trash talk nila - SAIDO.

a few years back while im on my way home sumemplang ako dahil sa buhangin sa kalsada dahil sa mga hukay na ginagawa dito sa amin. good thing i was wearing my safety jacket but i wasnt wearing a shin guard so as expected tocino ang tuhod ko, a few months back. galing ako sa bahay ng gf ko since malapit lang hindi ako nagjacket but naka shoes ako. i was doing 70kph then the jeep in front of me made a full stop and i know na medyo nakatutok ako so i hit the brake as hard as i could and fell on the ground major scrapes on my right arm,hips knee and take note nahubad ang left shoes ko so IMHO accidents happen when you least expect it. so to avoid any scrapes or bruises please wear your gears and your HELMET :rolleyes:
