The On Any Sunday Motocross Series to be held at the Fast Track Circuit Taguig this weekend shall be hosted on October 7 – 21 – 28^th and Nov. 11, 2007. This shall have a very busy schedule for the national riders for the last quarter of this year at the Fast Track Circuit, after its highly successful support and participation from the motorcycle racing community . Teh event is sanctioned by NAMSSA the governing body for motorcycle sports in the Philippines today

The event last weekend was moved forward to this weekend and organizers declared it if need be a wet and wild weekend if need be. “ Also training in slippery conditions at Fast Track Circuit shall sharpen our riders skill “ quipped Ken Falco ,President of NAMSSA.

Mayor Freddie Tinga of Taguig City hailed the Fast Track Circuit facility for the constant hosting of national and international events in the proper safe and controlled environment and highlighting the City of
Taguig as the motorsports capital within easy reach of the backyard of Metro Manila.

The said races shall also be a tune up event for the international participation of the Philipine naitonal motocross team to the international races slated for China and Guam , USA slated for the end of this year. Sponsors of the series are Flamboyant Construction , JBS Moto Shop, GCG, Topmaster, Sign Effex . Up for grabs are trophies for the 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, Enduro,  Production and the Open Class categories.

After having just escaped the helmet sticker ordinance by the MMDA, newly elected Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim wants to ban tandem riding in the city of Manila.

Motorcycle riders in tandem may soon be a thing of the past in Manila if Mayor Alfredo Lim will have his way.

Lim on Monday urged the city council to draft an ordinance that will prohibit having more than one rider on a motorcycle.

The mayor, dubbed “Dirty Harry” for his no-nonsense approach to criminals, said various crimes, including murders of activists and journalists, are committed by suspects riding tandem on motorcycles.

Lim said the proposed measure is better than the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s plan to require riders to post their motorcycle’s plate number on their helmets.
