For Bugoi and me, Day 1 started on the 18th. I waited up for Bugoi to get off from work around 10:30pm. We rode to Shell Balintawak around 12:30am. And from there we waited for the others to arrive. One by one they came, first was sir Eagleone. Then came Elyf and sir Bodick. Last to arrive were sirs Lyndon and Emil. After a few minutes to gas up (XLR Full tank at P169) and getting ready, our group took off from Shell at 2am. Traffic was pretty smooth along McArthur Highway, though there were some areas along the way that were being improved.

Forum member Hatake_Kakashi and his friends from the CUPAD MC braved the storm and rode through the downpour. Here is their story.

This ride was planned a few weeks ago minus the storm, night before the ride i told my friends that the ride will be canceled due to the bad weather conditions so i curled up in my bed then around 7am i recieved a lot of text and calls stating that the ride will push through (so much for the bad weather). The Xplorer Riders Club went on a different kind of ride this past holy week. Going on a “Visita Iglesia”, a long standing lenten tradition in which Catholics try to visit as many churches as they can.

Forum member enrico_raymundo and his friends in the Adventurers Motorcycle Club went on a Yamaha supported trip to Sagada.

Last March 25, 2006, the members of the Getaway Motorbike Club of Lucena City, installed a roadsign at the Tayabas-Lucena Boundary. They hope that this will aid all the riders going their way.

Great initiative guys. Keep up the good work!
