730 - an Anniversary Article

Xplorers Philippines

What are these numbers? Speedo reading? Well, not exactly. 730, is actually the days that Xplorers Philippines had existed. Who would’ve thought that a simple z200 users’ get together initiated by Muska at the Motorstar Thread of Motorcycle Philippines would flourish into a club, of whom, now celebrating its 730 days of existence.

What exactly made its 730 days remarkable? Did 730 days of existence made any significant change in people’s lives? Let alone, the motorcycle community? These are just some of thoughts that came to my mind, as I am composing this article at 4:20am. I am not with Xplorers Philippines all those 730 days; I was in fact with Xplorers Philippines for only 615 days; so, to have a truthful opinion, I can only speak of those 615 days. Where they worth it?

CMC goes to Puerto Galera-Calapan Mindoro

21

March

CMC at Puerto Galera

It all started when bullseye and bugoi had a talk at the homecoming ride in Lucban last March 3 and indeed, the CMC overnight ride to Puerto Galera-Calapan-Mindoro happened just as fast as the snap of a finger or should I say as fast as the Super4 of Sir Richard? (ang bilis )

Initially, the plan was really at the end of March 2007 but due to some members’ schedule constraint, it was agreed that we push through and conquer Mindoro the week after our March 10 quick Marilaque ride and in consonance with Jon Carlos’ 3_th birthday on March 17. Seven riders and four backrides eventually confirmed to join the tour these includes: sir Bugoi, sir Peewee, sir Eagle1 & Ma’am Eagle2, sir Budz, sir JonCarlos and wife Kris, sir Richard & Ma’am Melody, Bullseye & yours Tru(ly)1209.

And the story goes like this…

RJRC Micro Freedom Ride

18

February

Report by jmavendan.

As per Khunja, micro lang daw kasi tatlo lang kami na nagpunta sa coastal to penetrate the expressway.

here is the story, after the first official tambay ng RJRC. khunja, ted and I decided to penetrate the Coastal Expressway, as ted our official photographer and me as an expectator and khunja as the head of the plan, stopped before the tollgate because we forgot to prepare our toll fee, after a minute of stopping we then go and pay for the fee. no pressures going to cavite as we follow the speed limit inside coastal. i was on the 2nd outer lane riding around 70 sometimes 80kph, i feel the pressure of the wind as the bus takes over but no hassles at all, hindi man lang umalis sa pwesto ang motor ko. after 2 or 3 minutes i think, nasa shell na kami sa bacoor. yung 1st entrance namin no problem, walang sumita.

we take a rest at Shell and talked about what happened inside coastal. then after 15 minutes we decided to go back and penetrate again the expressway. pagdating namin ng tollgate ulit may lumapit na officer, i forgot his name eh.

di ko madinig ang usapan nila khunja at nung officer kasi nasa likod ako at nakahelmet pa rin kami. pinagbayad muna kami, then pinark na namin yung mc sa gilid. pinakita ni khunja ang apprehension kit while saying that we are just following what the higher courts decision is, sabi pa nung officer “yung coastal road daw is under ng TRB, but khunja is insisting that supreme court is higher than TRB. tama ba yun khunja? hehe. nagpapaticket na kami pero ayaw nila magissue kasi siguro alam din nila na di pwedeng magticket kaya pinalampas na lang kami. sabi pa nung pulis na yung mataas na lang daw ang kausapin namin. hehe so tuloy ang ligaya pabalik na kami ng macapagal, sobrang traffic pabalik pero ang saya.

Pics here.
