December
Scooterista Magazine is expanding and we have some openings on our sales and editorial team.
Contributors
We’re looking for writers, photographers and graphic artists who feel they’ve got a story to tell. We’re looking for people with a good sense of humor, excellent writing skills and of course, riding experience is a plus. You will be working on a freelance basis for the magazine, with work or reviews to be assigned on a per project basis. Contributors shall be compensated on a per project/assignment basis.
Correspondents
We’re looking for riders from around the country who can cover events and do features from their home town or provinces. Excellent writing skills, a good eye and email access are what we need from our correspondents. Since submissions will be done remotely (through email and/or digital files), applicants must have access to, or own, a digital camera and computer. Correspondents shall communicate regularly with the Editor in Chief for ideas and will be compensated on a per submission basis.
Advertising Account Managers
We are looking for TWO (2) driven individuals to join our sales team. You must have a college degree, excellent writing and verbal communications skills and a passion for the scooterista lifestyle. You must also have at least 2-3 years of sales experience (not necessarily in publishing, but this would be a plus) and be able to come up with sales proposals and marketing gimmicks that will best serve the interests of our clients and our own magazine. Attractive compensation package awaits.
If you think you have what it takes, we’d like to hear from you.

I knew who he is being theEditor-in-Chief of Scooterista — a local magazine that promotes the scootering lifestyle. And my being in the business of weddings, I also knew who he is married to a celebrity (YES! that info is courtesy of another magazine the title of which I can only dare hint ) . I got Manu’s email from Bimbo, his brother-in-law. You see, the local Vespa scene seems to be separated by only three degrees; meaning, if you don’t personally know a certain rider, then you definitely know some other rider who knows that person. [...] Nani (or Dr. Scoot to readers of Scooterista magazine) is actually one of the first people I got to talk with regarding Vespas. I entertained my ’stupid’ questions about the PX model since I really knew nothing about it at that time. I just knew that it was the bike I wanted based on its classic look. He told me about their Vespa shop in Leon Guinto, Manila and urged me to visit the shop soon so I could see the Wasps there. Later that day, I was able to find a second hand PX and brought it to the shop the next day so Nani could take a look and give me his assesment. The rest, as they say, is history. [...]
