just got this update from gmanews.com tv.
ano ngayon ang masasabi nyo mga pre? Bakla tlaga yan si bayani, walang isang salita:
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Bayani Fernando said Monday that he cannot withdraw the policy requiring motorcycle riders to put stickers of their license plate numbers on their helmets.

“We will take into consideration their sentiments but I have no power to withdraw the implementation of the said ordinance because it is in the hands of the members of the council that passed it,” Fernando said.

The Metro Manila Council is the MMDA’s policy making body and governing board. It is comprised of the mayors of Metro Manila’s 16 cities and lone town, and other government officials.

Fernando appealed to motorcycle owners and riders to follow the “helmet stickers” policy, noting its implementing rules and regulation (IRR) is still being finalized by the MMDA.

Sir Gerry, Mabuhay po kayo…. at Congrats!!! (”,)

  12. Gerry Cornejo says:

    Wolver888, monski42, maraming pong salamat.

  14. bulacanrider55 says:

  16. v-rod says:

naku naman. why do they allow cars on the streets of manila running with dark tinted plates barely visible, without plates(kolorum fx’s) , with expired commemorative plate(kolorum fx’s). The councils should use a little more commonsense before jumping to another gimik if they are really after the real criminals.

  17. franklin says:

    @v-rod

    YES MORE COMMONSENSE !

  18. bulacanx1 says:

more power po sa lahat.. and have a safe riding!!!

  19. roughrod says:

  20. RoughRod says:

sir gerry thanks for the update.

    Regards,

  21. H-blade says:

    @ v-rod

full of politics and gimiks kasi talaga sa level na yan.

    @franklin

True. To the coucils, just get out of their airconditioned rooms and see the real world outside. they are wasting tax payers money. Dont just seat there, wake up and do your job.

  22. H-blade says:

    @ Gerry Cornejo

Thank you for fighting for what is right. God bless !

  23. Gerry Cornejo says:

Si MCPF Director ATOY STA. CRUZ ang guest today 7am to 8am, Thurs. Mla. na “Plate No. Printed on the Helmet”.
Pag mi-mitingan daw ng Metro Manila Council ang issue na yan today and they will discuss all the pros and cons daw bago sila gumawa ng final decision.

  24. Gerry Cornejo says:

Bigbikers – I was informed by MCPF Director Jojo Medina about the big bike ban sa NLEX, SLEX at pati Coastal nga daw.
Sir JOJO is currently in Bicol – I will confirm with him via text – will give an upadate asap.

  25. Gerry Cornejo says:

BIGBIKERS I just received a confirmation from MCPF Dir. Jojo Medina – banned na nga daw ang big bikes from slex, nlex at coastal :-/

  26. Gerry Cornejo says:

Bulacanrider55, V-Rod, H-Blade, RoughRod, Bulacanx1 mamami pong salamat sa suporta niyo. Take care, God bless :-)

  27. Kit says:

Congratulations on your appointment, Mr. Gerry Cornejo. With everybody’s help, I truly hope you can make a difference in giving motorcyclists nationwide a good voice, an improved image, and a rallying cry.

  28. bigbikers says:

    sir Gerry

  29. Congratulations Ka Gerry “JACKRABBIT” Cornejo on your appointment as MCPF Director for Media. I just dropped in here at MCPF. More Power & God Bless. Thanks. Best Regards.

  30. Gerry Cornejo says:

Kit, Bigbikers, Rollie P. :-) maraming salamat po sa inyong pagbati at suporta. God bless.

  31. Fred says:

  32. Fred says:

    Ka Gerry, Congratulations!

  33. Carlos Santiago says:

Salamat po and more power

  39. totoy says:

message to all. di ba ninyo na pansin kawawa tayong motorcycle users sa mga kotong pulis. ngayon bago ako umalis yan ang concern ko. bakit dumami ang tiwali na pulis?

  40. karim says:

Ano ba nagyari now? Obvious namam na maganda naidulot nito.
Mabuhay po kayo, Sir Gerry Cornejo!
    Mabuhay po ang DZRJ!

  41. zander says:

    KARIM,

What’s the point men? If u buy a helmet cost around P6000.00 to P30,000.00 papayag kb na babuyin lng ng sticker?

May utak kb? Alam mo ba yun?

  42. samuel says:

babuyin is subjective. no problem for me.

  43. abdula says:

    zander,

    ano problema mo ?

  44. king says:

    @abdul

oo nga eh, o.a. masyado. baklang holdaper ata yan eh. sobra pakialamera kasi.

  45. jopet says:

mukang tanga talaga si zander . hahaha

  46. pete says:

    #28

pati yan ba problema mo. we should learn how to obey the law. hindi putak ng putak lang.

  47. boyet says:

    @richard
