just got this update from gmanews.com tv.
ano ngayon ang masasabi nyo mga pre? Bakla tlaga yan si bayani, walang isang salita:
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Bayani Fernando said Monday that he cannot withdraw the policy requiring motorcycle riders to put stickers of their license plate numbers on their helmets.
“We will take into consideration their sentiments but I have no power to withdraw the implementation of the said ordinance because it is in the hands of the members of the council that passed it,” Fernando said.
The Metro Manila Council is the MMDA’s policy making body and governing board. It is comprised of the mayors of Metro Manila’s 16 cities and lone town, and other government officials.
Fernando appealed to motorcycle owners and riders to follow the “helmet stickers” policy, noting its implementing rules and regulation (IRR) is still being finalized by the MMDA.

Wolver888, monski42, maraming pong salamat.

naku naman. why do they allow cars on the streets of manila running with dark tinted plates barely visible, without plates(kolorum fx’s) , with expired commemorative plate(kolorum fx’s). The councils should use a little more commonsense before jumping to another gimik if they are really after the real criminals.
17. franklin | July 25th, 2007 at 10:02 pm
@v-rod
YES MORE COMMONSENSE !

Si MCPF Director ATOY STA. CRUZ ang guest today 7am to 8am, Thurs. Mla. na “Plate No. Printed on the Helmet”.
Pag mi-mitingan daw ng Metro Manila Council ang issue na yan today and they will discuss all the pros and cons daw bago sila gumawa ng final decision.

Congratulations on your appointment, Mr. Gerry Cornejo. With everybody’s help, I truly hope you can make a difference in giving motorcyclists nationwide a good voice, an improved image, and a rallying cry.

32. Fred | July 27th, 2007 at 9:38 am
Ka Gerry, Congratulations!
33. Carlos Santiago | July 27th, 2007 at 10:03 am
34. Gerry Cornejo | July 29th, 2007 at 7:41 am

Salamat po and more power
40. totoy | August 7th, 2007 at 10:15 am
message to all. di ba ninyo na pansin kawawa tayong motorcycle users sa mga kotong pulis. ngayon bago ako umalis yan ang concern ko. bakit dumami ang tiwali na pulis?
41. karim | August 13th, 2007 at 9:40 am
Ano ba nagyari now? Obvious namam na maganda naidulot nito.
Mabuhay po kayo, Sir Gerry Cornejo!
Mabuhay po ang DZRJ!
42. zander | August 13th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
KARIM,
What’s the point men? If u buy a helmet cost around P6000.00 to P30,000.00 papayag kb na babuyin lng ng sticker?
May utak kb? Alam mo ba yun?
43. samuel | August 16th, 2007 at 9:19 am
babuyin is subjective. no problem for me.
44. abdula | August 16th, 2007 at 9:24 am
