Good friend and fellow Vespa rider Yeyey Yatco recently directed this commercial regarding helmet safety. The ad aired last night and we are proud to feature it here on MCP. It was very important to have a fellow rider be at the helm of such an important step in the right direction for the motorcycle community as a whole. We hope to see a lot more of these ads in the weeks, months and even years to come.
Also kudos to Kawasaki for taking the initiative and picking up the campaign.

Hello everyone,
In a couple of hours from now, we will be initiating a transition to the new server we just bought. The new server has the ff. specifications:
Intel Woodcrest 2 X 3.0 GHz Dual Core 5160
4GB or 4,096MB RAM
2 x 750GB Hard Drive
CentOS 4
The transfer will take several hours to half a day as the entire site is close to 25GB in total. During this time, we will be closing the forums so that no new database writes will be made during the migration and content lost during the process.
I will update this post from time to time to send out progress reports.

Update 1:
Started backing up latest copy of files and DBs. MCP is about 15GB even when compressed. Takes hours to backup and copy over to the new server.
