Posted by NAMSSA On July - 21 - 2007

The start of the much awaited FIM Asian Supercross launches today with races for the first heat of the nationals on July 21 and tomorrow Sunday July 22, 2007 at the Fast Track Circuit in Upper Bicutan, Taguig City. The Fast Track Circuit, which is just 15 minutes away from the heart of the city, is totally new for most of the 10 country foreign riders thus giving Filipinos a real good hometown advantage in this series organized by the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association (NAMSSA) in cooperation with Xtreme Worx Philippines.

The event will also mark the first time in a decade that an international motocross event is being staged in Metro Manila, the last being held in 1997 in Marikina City and the last event in Puerto Princesa City. The event is supported by City of Taguig, Philippine Sports Commission, Pine Rental, Motorcyclephilippines.Com. Castrol, Bridgestone, JT Triumph, Honda, Pocari Sweat, OZ Racing, Norkis Yamaha, Wildman Sandals, Karcher, YRS, Inside Racing, & Coca Cola.

Destination: Angono (a Pre-Ride report)

Posted by JohnRana On July - 10 - 2007

Angono, Rizal is considered the “Art Capital of the Philippines.” It is not just home to some of our great artists (three of them already hailed National Artists), but it’s also where one could find the Petroglyphs – the oldest known work of art in the Philippines.

This Saturday, Vespa community here in Manila will ride to Angono to visit art galleries and museums; including a tour of the residence and studio of National Artist Botong Fransisco.

This unique cultural ride has been arranged and spearheaded by our fellow Vespa riders based there. True to form, the Angono riders have proven that it is indeed a place where artists are grown since they even came up with this unique poster design/artwork for the event:
