Sunday Ride to the Orphanage

Motorcycle Philippines

A group of intrepid riders from the Ateneo and some misfits from the towns along SLEX braved the rains last Sunday to visit the Carmelite convent in Lipa City and offer a token financial contribution to the sisters. They then proceeded to Tagaytay via Midlands/Highlands to visit the Little Angels Orphanage and give a little joy and support to the kids in terms of food, clothing, diapers and some money. Overall it was truly a blessed day, with the intermittent rains and ever-present fog welcoming them in Tagaytay making it an even more beautiful and enriching experience.

Since the inception of Bikeline last May, the idea of versatile, strong, affordable and stylish motorcycle bags has become an evident trend, maybe even a need specially for us bikers residing in Metro Manila with all the traffic, potholes and what have you. Neither do we need to have ugly plastic bags either strapped to our body or our bikes that make us look like a Lamborghini with a campershell. Since Bikeline came out with the FIRST and original idea of a tailbag that functions well and looks cool on our bikes, those things can now be truly called “a thing of the past”.

Taas Noo Ang Nag-Momotorsiklo

While listening to the radio yesterday morning during my Sunday morning coffee, I caught the MMDA segment on DZBB. This broadcast was surprisingly level headed, though still containing a lot of misconceptions regarding MC riders, like the use of the sidewalk, the weaving in and out of traffic and of course the ever popular, making “silong” under walkways when it rains, the show was generally and surprisingly pro MC.
